The Challenge just got BIGGER
Hello dear supporters. I hit the ocean mid November and decided that I set the bar too low. So now swimming 10km in two weeks! The water is wonderful and I had my first Mermaid circle song the day I got in. June who turned 90 this year was there. So many inspirational mermaids out there...The Mermaid returns to her Mermaid family!
I got in for first swim today just as all the other mermaids were returning to their lives on land. SO GOOD and not even cold getting in. First swim was 800m, aiming for this every day for the next two weeks. To be a Mermaid is to be free!Return of the Mermaids
In November this Rockingham Mermaid (with thin blood, online most of the older mermaids who swim all year round)) will be returning to the ocean to raise money for people who have no access to clean water. My team is The Fabulous Fifties (all ages welcome) invites you to join us on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 7.30 at the Alexandra St carpark, Rockingham. Let's do this, together we can make a difference. Lots of love and hugs, HarrietWhy I'm taking the plunge
This November, I'm making a splash in WaterAid's Big Spring Swim to raise money for the 1 in 10 people worldwide who don't have clean water close to home.
WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.
With all three, people can unlock their potential, break free from poverty, and change their lives for good. Children grow up healthy and strong, women and men get to earn a living, whole communities start to thrive.
Every dollar raised makes a huge difference.
- $30 can build a simple handwashing station to help stop the spread of disease
- $50 can provide a student with clean water at school
- $150 can help to buy a rainwater tank- so a family has clean water close to home
Please support me today.
Go girl!
