WHAT IS THE BIG SPRING SWIM?

The Big Spring Swim is a distance swimming challenge taking place from 1- 30 November 2023. You have 30 days to make a splash and complete your chosen distance in support of WaterAid Australia.

There is a level to suit everybody: you can cover either 6km (equivalent to 8 laps of a standard 25m pool), 15km (20 laps a day) or 30km (40 laps a day) across the month.

It is a virtual event, so you go at your own pace. You can make a splash in the pool or your favourite open water spot. Or a mix of both. It’s up to you!

Fancy taking on the Big Spring Swim as a team?

If you want to swim as a team and fundraise together, or complete your distance as a relay- you can. You will have the option to set up a team page or join an existing team when you register.

The most important thing is to enjoy yourself and raise money for the 1 in 10 people who do not have clean water close to home.

Plan your swims

Plan when and where you’ll swim. At your local pool? In your favourite open water spot? Think about how often and how far you will swim to reach your goal.

Shout it loud

Invite friends and family to support you. And keep them updated as you progress through the month.
