Day 3
Day 3 of Walk for Water!Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a fun reason why I’m loving this challenge. As many of you know, I’m a passionate runner. Running is more than just a physical activity for me; it’s a mental health tool that keeps me grounded and joyful.
But this time, it’s about more than just running. It’s about raising awareness for the water crisis and highlighting the vital importance of having access to clean water.
Day 2
Day 2- Walk for WaterIn some countries, governments do not have the resources to provide basic needs to their citizens, such as access to clean water. This is why the work of organisations like WaterAid Australia is so critical. They assist communities with practical solutions to access clean water, hygiene, and sanitation.
This cause is close to my heart. As I shared my own experiences, I reflected on how vital clean water is for health, hygiene, and sanitation.
Day 1
I am taking part in the WaterAid Australia Walk for Water Challenge as part of the Steel Mains Team. I am running those who have to walk long distances to access clean water, often at the expense of their education and future opportunities. Please support my journey by donating on my fundraising
Why I'm walking, running & riding for water this October!
703 million people in the world – almost one in ten – do not have clean water close to home. Every day, women and children walk long distances to collect and carry water for their families. Girls and boys often begin collecting water as children and girls continue to collect and carry water throughout their lives. Many girls spend hours each day collecting water, which can cause them to miss time at school. And not only that, sometimes the water they are forced to collect is dirty, carrying water borne diseases and leading to sickness in their community.
This is why we need your help – we are asking you to walk for water, so that they don’t have to.
By walking, running or riding for five days, you can raise awareness and funds so people around the world can access clean water for the first time.
Please donate to my fundraising page to contribute to WaterAid's amazing work. For just $50, WaterAid could buy water system tools to provide a rural community with clean water.
The more people that know about WaterAid, the more we can achieve together.
Please spread the word by sharing my fundraising page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
