Not sure how to get started on your fundraising journey?
Here are some ideas to help you get started and keep yourselves and others safe:
Share your Journey
Your number one tool for getting the message out there is of course your own networks. Let people know what you are doing and the progress you are making towards your own goal and why you have chosen to fundraise for Walk for Water.
To help you on your way you will find resources available to download on the resources page here.
Online Trivia
Who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned Trivia Night! It is as simple as getting a group of work mates or friends together, and asking people to sponsor you to join in the fun. You can even use anyone number of different online platforms that most people these days are already using including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Teams, Zoom and YouTube, just to name a few.
If you need help setting up your online trivia event, please

Online Games Night
A fun packed games night can be a great way to stay connected with work mates, friends and family while apart. Games could include Bingo, Yahtzee or even a scavenger hunt around each home.
Kick it up a notch and give the night a dress up theme to add to the fun.
Matched Gifts
Matching gifts is a great way to increase fundraising efforts and get your company more involved. So why not speak to your manager to find out if your organisation is in the position to be able to support your teams Walk for Water journey.
Company Platforms
Does your company have an intranet, or maybe they are active on social media and would be willing to promote your team goals? The best way to find out is to speak with your manager or Marketing & Communications department.
Online Auction
Online auctions items don’t have to be expensive to make it successful. Think outside the box for prizes and host an online live or silent auction. Prizes could include mowing someone’s lawn, dog walking or even making someone’s lunch for a week. Get creative.
Personalise your page
A great way to keep people engaged and stand out from other pages is to personalise your individual and team fundraising pages. You can add photos, logos, let everyone know why you are taking part and update your community on your progress.
Join the Walk for Water Community
To bring us all together we have set up a LinkedIn and Facebook group to connect you with the entire Walk for Water community.
