Marie's WaterAid Fundraiser Swim
I am pleased to let you know that I raised a total of $500, being $150 from Facebook, and $350 from my neighbors at my retirement village. During the Fundraiser swim, I managed to swim 8.850 km. This was 150 short of my target of 10km, because I had some time out due to an unrelated injury. It is still not too late to make a sponsorship/donation which would be very much appreciated. All you do is hit DONATE NOW and enter the details. A BIG THANKYOU to all those who sponsored me in my swim. See you next year for another Big Spring Swim for WaterAid.Marie's WaterAid Fundraiser Swim
You've probably seen that I have been taking part in WaterAid's Big Spring Swim. I'm so proud that I swam 8.850km to raise money for remote global communities without accessible clean water and hygienic toilets.Marie's WaterAid Fundraiser Swim
Since joining the WaterAid Big Spring Swim Fundraiser, to date I have now clocked up 3,750 meters in the pool. I'm feeling pretty good about, and it's not over yet. Please sponsor me, which is a direct donation to WaterAid. This will help bring fresh, clean accessible water and hygienic toilets to remote villages globally. What we take for granted, millions of people world-wide, do not have, but you can help them achieve this necessity.Marie's WaterAid Fundraiser Swim
Hi everyone, at last I have started my fundraiser swim today. Only eight days late! Why? Because I had an open wound, a graze to the arm. I swam 550 meters today, and am intending to build up to 1k per swim, four days per week. That's really good for me, so this WaterAid Fundraiser is good for me too.Marie's WaterAid Fundraiser Swim

Why I'm taking the plunge
This November, I'm making a splash in WaterAid's Big Spring Swim to raise money for the 1 in 10 people worldwide who don't have clean water close to home.
WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.
With all three, people can unlock their potential, break free from poverty, and change their lives for good. Children grow up healthy and strong, women and men get to earn a living, whole communities start to thrive.
Every dollar raised makes a huge difference.
- $30 can build a simple handwashing station to help stop the spread of disease
- $50 can provide a student with clean water at school
- $150 can help to buy a rainwater tank- so a family has clean water close to home
Please support me today.
