Aquavengers: Fellowship of the Springs – United for a Cause!

We are Aquavengers: Fellowship of the Springs, a group of five colleagues and friends who’ve come together for a mission: to raise funds for clean water through WaterAid’s Walk for Water campaign. As water warriors, our team is taking on this journey to help change lives, one step at a time.

The name of our group embodies our spirit – like the mighty Fellowship in Lord of the Rings, we stand united, drawing from our shared passion to ensure access to clean water for communities around the world. Our mission may not involve mystical rings or epic battles, but we face an equally significant challenge: the global water crisis.

Who We Are

• Brenda – Lady Tidalwyn: The elven protector of the tides, able to command the great oceans and rivers with a wave of her hand..
• Charisse – Whisperine of the Waves: A mysterious sorceress whose soft words can summon and guide water through even the most treacherous lands.
• Chelsea – Aqualindriel: A fierce warrior with a shield of enchanted water that can ward off any danger and heal those in need.
• Leah – Rainmira: A wise druid who can call upon the skies to release life-giving rain, nurturing the lands and quenching thirst.
• Steph – Swiftstream: A nimble ranger, swift as a mountain spring, who flows through challenges with ease, delivering aid where needed.

Together, we walk to support WaterAid in its mission to provide clean water and sanitation to millions of people around the world.

Why Walk for Water?

Every day, 703 million people worldwide – 1 in 10 – do not have clean water close to home. Imagine spending hours walking just to collect water, often through dangerous situations. For 200 million women and girls, this is a reality, and it drastically affects their ability to attend school or work.

Without access to clean water, generations of women are held back, continuing a cycle of inequality. But we can help change that.

Since its founding, WaterAid has reached 28.1 million people with clean, safe water. With your help, they can reach even more.

Why I'm walking, running & riding for water this October!

703 million people in the world – almost one in ten – do not have clean water close to home. Every day, women and children walk long distances to collect and carry water for their families. Girls and boys often begin collecting water as children and girls continue to collect and carry water throughout their lives. Many girls spend hours each day collecting water, which can cause them to miss time at school. And not only that, sometimes the water they are forced to collect is dirty, carrying water borne diseases and leading to sickness in their community.

This is why we need your help – we are asking you to walk for water, so that they don’t have to.

By walking, running or riding for five days, you can raise awareness and funds so people around the world can access clean water for the first time.
