Create your team
Walk for Water is so much more fun when you are part of a team. So get your classmates, family, and friends together to join you on the journey.
Start fundraising
Ask your classmates and friends to sponsor you as you Walk for Water. Funds raised will help WaterAid reach people who have limited access to clean water sources.
Your impact
Funds raised through our Walk for Water schools program help us reach more children around the world with clean water. Children like Tefy (pictured) who tells us
‘Before, we used to fetch water down the hill. It was far. But now, we no longer fetch water far away from our school. Now we have taps here and a nice toilet.’
Here at WaterAid, we believe that everyone everywhere has the right to clean water. And with your help, we can make that happen.

Where the funds go
The funds you raise through Walk for Water help WaterAid reach people all over the world with clean water.
703 million people in the world – one in ten – do not have clean water close to home. For hundreds of millions of people, especially women and girls, that means long, dangerous and physically painful walks to collect water from sources that could be filthy.
WaterAid is committed to helping communities gain access to clean water sources close to home, freeing up women's time and enabling girls to spend more time going to school.
