Empowering Communities with Inclusive Sanitation: Help Raise $24,000 for Disability-Friendly Toilets in Cambodia!

In Cambodia, people with disabilities often experience limited access to education, livelihoods, and essential services like water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). Women with disabilities face a "triple burden" of discrimination due to their gender, poverty, and disability.
Inaccessible toilets make it difficult for people with disabilities to lead dignified, independent and safe lives.
WaterAid Cambodia has been working with community organisations to develop low-cost sanitation solutions tailored to individuals with limited mobility.
While these prototypes show great promise, further funding is essential to ensure more people can access these life changing facilities.
The proposed AUD24,000 will scale the project to new areas, improve designs, find cheaper ways to build and support activities such as community training, pilot programs, and promotion. The work will also involve local business owners, and community members to find markets for accessible latrine construction within their communities.
Your support will ensure durable, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable toilets, empowering people with disabilities and promoting health and equity in rural Cambodian communities.

As a member of the supporter's trip, it was great to see firsthand the great work being done to improve WASH outcomes in Cambodia. I am also happy to contribute further towards this great initiative.
