Why we’re walking, running & riding for water this October!
Sphere Infrastructure – Walking for Water
At Sphere, we know the vital role water plays in healthy, resilient communities. Every day, our team helps Australian councils and utilities plan, procure and deliver essential water infrastructure – but we also know that across the world, 703 million people still don’t have clean water close to home.
For many families, this means women and children must walk long distances every day to collect water. Too often, that water is unsafe, spreading disease and limiting opportunities for education and work. The burden falls heavily on girls, who spend hours carrying water instead of attending school.
That’s why Sphere is proud to take part in WaterAid’s Walk for Water. By walking together, we’re raising funds and awareness to help communities around the world gain reliable access to clean water. Just $50 can provide water system tools for a rural community – a simple investment that transforms lives.
