WAYS TO FUNDRAISE

Not sure how to get started on your fundraising journey?

Here are some ideas to help you get started and keep yourselves and others safe:

Bake sale

Have a bake sale as a fundraiser for your event. Give your baked goods a WaterAid twist with blue icing or blueberry fillings!

Dress up day

Ask students to wear blue and make a gold coin donation to support WaterAid!

Sports Event

Is your school terrific at tennis? Or are the pupils fantastic at footy? Host a sports event with gold coin entry and get the whole school cheering.

Quiz day

Run a quiz with your family, friends or school group and ask for a gold coin donation to take part. Check out this quiz.

Water bottle day

Bring your favourite water bottle to school day – donate a gold coin as well.

Set a target

If your school raises $200, we will send blue shoe laces for each student who took part.

Share your Journey

Your number one tool for getting the message out there is of course your own networks. Let people know what you are doing and the progress you are making towards your own goal and why you have chosen to fundraise for Walk for Water.

To help you on your way you will find resources available to download on the resources page here.

Personalise your page

A great way to keep people engaged and stand out from other pages is to personalise your individual and team fundraising pages. You can add photos, logos, let everyone know why you are taking part and update your community on your progress.

Donation Boxes

To help you in your fundraising efforts this year we have cardboard donation boxes available to be displayed on your desk or lunch room.

If you would like us to send you a donation box, please email us at events@wateraid.org.au.
