Walk five days, fundraise for change, and take steps for clean water.

Can you imagine having to walk more than half an hour to your closest water source? It is a daily reality for millions, but it doesn't have to be.

Your Impact

By taking part in Walk for Water, you’ll be helping people around the world access clean water close to home, in their schools, and at their healthcare facilities. Here at WaterAid, we believe that everyone everywhere has the right to clean water. And with your help, we can make that happen.

Last year alone, we helped over 1.6 million people access clean water at their healthcare facility through our direct work in communities, and even more through our advocacy and policy work around the world.

Where the funds go

The funds you raise through Walk for Water help WaterAid reach people all over the world with clean water.

703 million people in the world – almost one in ten – do not have clean water close to home. For hundreds of millions of people, especially women and girls, that means long, dangerous and physically painful walks to collect water from sources that could be filthy.

WaterAid is committed to helping communities gain access to clean water sources close to home, freeing up women's time and enabling girls to spend more time going to school.
