Walk For Water 2025

Join Team Melbourne Water and Walk for Water this October!

Melbourne Water is supporting the water industry’s charity of choice – WaterAid’s Walk for Water – and it’s a great opportunity to get involved, raise funds and awareness, whilst improving your health and wellbeing.

 

What is WaterAid’s Walk for Water? 

Did you know that over 700 million people (almost 10% of the world’s population) don’t have access to clean water close to home? And it’s the children, mostly girls, who walk hours a day every day, to collect and carry water to their home, missing out on school.  Walk for Water sets up practical and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene projects, influences change, and raises money so people have safe, clean drinking water and more, in their immediate local community. 


Walk for Water: October 6-10, 2025 

From October 6-10, we’re encouraging you to walk, run, wheel or ride – as much as you can – and/or simply dontate to raise money for Walk for Water.  

Let's come together as a team this October to walk for those who walk for water, turning our steps into safe taps!
