You don’t have to be an elite athlete to take part. All we ask is you walk, run or ride for just 1 hour a day from 18-22 October.

Where the funds go

The funds you raise through Walk for Water help WaterAid reach people all over the world with clean water.

771 million people in the world – one in ten – do not have clean water close to home. For hundreds of millions of people, especially women and girls, that means long, dangerous and physically painful walks to collect water from sources that could be filthy.

WaterAid is committed to helping communities gain access to clean water sources close to home, freeing up women's time and enabling girls to spend more time going to school.
